Overview
Orexin B, also called hypocretin-2, is a 28-residue C-terminally amidated neuropeptide of the orexin/hypocretin family, cleaved from the prepro-orexin precursor alongside orexin A. In the research literature it acts as an agonist of the orexin G-protein-coupled receptors, binding OX2R with high affinity and OX1R with substantially lower affinity, and is studied for its role in arousal, wakefulness, and feeding regulation.

FAQ
Orexin B is supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in sealed vials at 5 mg and 10 mg fill weights. Custom fill weights and bulk quantities are available on RFQ. Material is intended strictly for laboratory research use.
Each lot ships with a Certificate of Analysis reporting identity and purity by RP-HPLC (typically ≥99%) together with mass-spectrometry confirmation of molecular weight. Supporting data such as amino-acid analysis, water/acetate content, or residual solvent testing can be provided on request.
Our standard product is human Orexin B (Hypocretin-2), a 28-residue C-terminally amidated peptide: CAS 205640-91-1, molecular formula C123H212N44O35S, MW approximately 2899.4 g/mol, sequence RSGPPGLQGRLQRLLQASGNHAAGILTM-NH2. Rat/mouse sequence variants can be quoted separately on request.
Standard MOQ is 50 kits (500 vials). We provide private-label and OEM services including custom labeling, kitting, and lot documentation; larger volume tiers and contract-manufacturing terms are quoted on RFQ.
Yes. Orexin B is offered exclusively as a research-use reference material for laboratory and manufacturing customers. It is not a drug, food, cosmetic, or dietary supplement and is not supplied for consumer or veterinary use. Buyers are responsible for compliance with applicable regulations in their destination market.
